Best Encryption Software, Email Security Solution & Desktop Firewall

SecurStar wins three of the prestigious SC Magazine Awards in the categories of "best encryption software", "best email encryption" and "best desktop firewall."

With over 1,300 product and service nominations from over 330 competing companies globally, the SC Awards are the world´s leading awards program for the information security industry.

New this year, the SC Magazine Awards have three separate award programs for the US, UK, and Asia Pacific regions. The awards are composed of the Reader Trust Awards (voted on by SC readers in each region) and the excellence and professional awards that are judged by a panel of the industry´s top talents.

Winners were announced at the 2006 SC Awards Gala on February 14th, 2006, which took place at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California.

SecurStar wins international Security Award 2006

Munich, 23. February 2006 - SecurStar GmbH, headquartered in Germany, announced that the company´s products have gained SC Magazine Awards 2006. SecurStar´s encryption solutions have convinced readers as well as juries in all categories in which the company competed (best disk encryption, best email security solution, and best desktop firewall). With more than 1,300 nominated products and solutions from 330 global companies, the SC Magazine Awards are among the most internationally acknowledged and renowned accolades in IT security.

With over 4.5 million installed copies, the DriveCrypt and DriveCrypt Plus Pack encryption solutions developed by SecurStar currently rank among the most commonly used data encryption software products in the home user market (the corporate market is increasingly being developed). In the course of the SC Magazine Awards, these solutions triumphed over powerful products from leading international companies in the IT security business. Readers chose the DriveCrypt products as the winners in the ”Best Encryption Software” category.
